Design Guide
Here's some inspo for you to get started!
Welcome to our design guide! We hope you find this useful and helps with your stationery journey. If there's anything you're unsure of, please don't hesitate to get in contact.
Our forte is bespoke design and stationery so if you have an idea, we're sure we can bring it to life so whilst we have a design guide, we are certainly not limited to this!
Paper and finishes for wedding stationery
Our paper stocks have been carefully selected, for that premium finish and choosing only FSC certified papers (this means that our print partners only use these materials also). The range below features our most popular colours and choices.
If there is something you are after that you don’t see, please reach out as we will do our best to assist you. We love exploring new paper types and finishes. Quite a few of our papers have some recycled content, are acid free and pH neutral.
We can recommend what print finishes work best on particular card stocks but the below colour and shape guide can hopefully give you a good starting point!
Please note: colours on your monitor may appear slightly different to the paper in real life.
Some of our paper stocks have a textured finish, or are available in cotton. If you have a request, please let us know.
Different printing methods
Digital, litho, letterpress, foil...we know it can be a minefield! Did you even know that there were so many options?!
We work with a number of different printing techniques, and we are happy to explore others too. We will always be transparent about the costs for these so that you can determine what works in your budget.
digital
Digitally printed invitations are printed directly from a digital file on a computer. Digital printers transfer four colours of ink (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) to paper simultaneously, producing a full-colour print after only one pass through the printer. Digital is a popular choice as it has the quickest turn-around and is the most cost effective.
White ink printing uses the same method of digital printing. White ink printing looks gorgeous on dark card stocks and creates a chic look without the cost of foiling or letterpress.

gold foil stamping
Foil stamping in the simplest form involves the following: foil material, heated plates, and pressure. The end result is a luxurious, slight indentation effect that adds a shine to the paper stock most typically in gold.
Please note: we have foil in colours you can only dream of! Rose gold, gold, pink, blue, green, silver, white, and even holographic colours… you name it and we probably can do it! Just ask!
Foiling is a luxury printing finish and costs significantly more than digital or white ink printing.
Foiling takes 10 business days for production + shipping time.

letterpress
Letterpress is when card is pressed with a coloured inked metal plate, which transfers the ink and leaves a deep, tactile impression in the paper that you can see and feel. It is a really beautiful technique and can be combined with other print methods
Letterpress is a luxury printing finish and costs significantly more than digital or white ink printing.
Letterpress takes 10 business days for production + shipping time.
